Holiday Shopping!

Totally off the topic of this blog but whatever. I am trying to get some of my holiday shopping done. FAIL! I have finally figured out what to get the bf but it seems that I can't find it anywhere. Well, one of the gifts anyways. His favorite baseball team is the Tampa Bay Rays. You would think that something as simple as a plain TB hat would be easy to come by. Nope. All he wants is the navy one with white writing. No other colors. Well, as of tonight, I don't think that will be happening. I have searched high and low for it, online and in stores. The only ones that I can find are in toddler and infant sizes. Definitely not going to work. So I am totally bummed about it because I was really excited to get him this. He has been saying he wants one for I don't know how long. Hmm, I guess on to the next possible gift. Aside from that and a football jersey, I really don't know what to get him. Last year was so easy for me to get him stuff. This year, definitely not. If any of you have ideas, I am open to suggestions. He is into cars, sports, and music. Easy right?! LOL I am trying to find something unique. Last year, for Valentine's Day, I gave him a photo collage of his car in a floating frame. I spent a lot of time on it and I just don't think that I can top that at this point. I really am out of ideas. Cologne, clothes... All typical. Help!!!

On another note, I am going to see my mom tomorrow. She is in town for the week on business so we will probably do some shopping, pedicures, and dinner. No word yet on whether she is interested in Dr S's protocol. I am sure she will be asking me 100 questions. We will see.

Hope everyone is well and you all had a nice weekend.

Back to LIW and Cycling.

I made it back to my LIW. It took longer then expected but I made it. I was up and down for a few days. Cut back on my cheese consumption and also not eating as many nuts. I love cashews and almonds. Just have to learn to limit how much I eat. Give me the mixed nuts and it's over. Same thing with cheese. Aww man. I seriously look forward to the end of P2 each round just so that I can eat cheese again. My bf found this awesome cheese from Whole Foods that has cranberries in it. It is delicious! I haven't been whipping up anything new lately. Just sticking with lots of chicken and fish. I have been more worried about nursing my thumb back to full health. I have to keep it covered at work because it is so dirty there. As soon as I come home, the band-aide and gloves come off. I left it uncovered last night and woke up to a nice scab. Of course that didn't last because as soon as I hoped in the shower it was gone. Either way, it has scabbed up again and it is drying out so, so far, so good.

I have decided that I am going to try to cycle next round. I will start P2 on January 3rd, loading on the 1st and 2nd. Then after the 40 days, I will go to P3 for 3 weeks and jump back into P2 after that. No P4 for the next round. Hopefully everything goes well. I am willing to take whatever comes to it. Plus this gives me plenty of time to research it and change my mind before the round comes.

I also realized today how much I miss playing soccer. I was running around the ramp today. We had 2 flights on the ground at the same time, so I am running in between gates. It's so nice to not be heaving and gasping for air anymore. I haven't been this small in a long time. I don't even think I was this small when I played soccer. Even so, it FEELS GOOOOOD!!! I can't wait for the weather to warm up so that I can get into an adult league. A group of us used to play once a week but now since the weather has cooled, we don't do it anymore. Anyway, that's all for today. Just thought I would share this with you. Happy Releasing/Maintaining. Now to check up on everyone.

Knives are EVIL!!! Oh yes they are!!!

BEWARE... THIS MAY GROSS YOU OUT. Last night I was making myself some hot and sour soup. The recipe calls for sliced or diced cabbage. Now, I would like to think that, for the most part, I am a somewhat skilled cook. I have always been able to throw things together and make something delicious. I also LOVE LOVE to cook. So, for the most part I always remember when I am slicing, dicing, chopping, whatever, to tuck my fingers in. Well, I have this problem with my thumb. I tuck all of my fingers in except for my thumb. Well, as I was chopping up my cabbage last night, sure enough, my thumb decided to get a mind of it's own. I sliced the tip of it off like it was part of the cabbage. Immediately, I put pressure on it, grabbed the skin, and ran downstairs. I calmly said to the bf that I sliced the tip off. Of course he wanted to see it. Well, I didn't want to take my finger off because I knew as soon as I did that it would start gushing. So I showed him the piece that was no longer attached. It was definitely a good chunk. I went into the bathroom and immediately put it under some water. Of course, it started gushing before I made it to the faucet. Anyway, my bf kept asking if I needed to go to the hospital. Interested to know my reply??? I said, "No, we can't go to the hospital because we will sit there for hours and we are supposed to go see Harry Potter tonight!" So that's what we did. We bandaged my thumb with gauze and everything else, went to see Harry Potter, then stopped to get some skin shield and band-aids on the way home. Today my thumb is a lot better. No more bleeding. It doesn't hurt at all actually. I just kind of have to laugh at how it happened. The moral of the story? Tuck in those thumbs AND skip the hospital visit if you are planning on seeing Harry Potter that night. It was well worth it.

Oh, but I decided that if it doesn't look like it is starting to heal tomorrow, I will go to the doctor. A couple of people have said that I may need a skin graph. We will see.
