Holiday Shopping!

Totally off the topic of this blog but whatever. I am trying to get some of my holiday shopping done. FAIL! I have finally figured out what to get the bf but it seems that I can't find it anywhere. Well, one of the gifts anyways. His favorite baseball team is the Tampa Bay Rays. You would think that something as simple as a plain TB hat would be easy to come by. Nope. All he wants is the navy one with white writing. No other colors. Well, as of tonight, I don't think that will be happening. I have searched high and low for it, online and in stores. The only ones that I can find are in toddler and infant sizes. Definitely not going to work. So I am totally bummed about it because I was really excited to get him this. He has been saying he wants one for I don't know how long. Hmm, I guess on to the next possible gift. Aside from that and a football jersey, I really don't know what to get him. Last year was so easy for me to get him stuff. This year, definitely not. If any of you have ideas, I am open to suggestions. He is into cars, sports, and music. Easy right?! LOL I am trying to find something unique. Last year, for Valentine's Day, I gave him a photo collage of his car in a floating frame. I spent a lot of time on it and I just don't think that I can top that at this point. I really am out of ideas. Cologne, clothes... All typical. Help!!!

On another note, I am going to see my mom tomorrow. She is in town for the week on business so we will probably do some shopping, pedicures, and dinner. No word yet on whether she is interested in Dr S's protocol. I am sure she will be asking me 100 questions. We will see.

Hope everyone is well and you all had a nice weekend.

Back to LIW and Cycling.

I made it back to my LIW. It took longer then expected but I made it. I was up and down for a few days. Cut back on my cheese consumption and also not eating as many nuts. I love cashews and almonds. Just have to learn to limit how much I eat. Give me the mixed nuts and it's over. Same thing with cheese. Aww man. I seriously look forward to the end of P2 each round just so that I can eat cheese again. My bf found this awesome cheese from Whole Foods that has cranberries in it. It is delicious! I haven't been whipping up anything new lately. Just sticking with lots of chicken and fish. I have been more worried about nursing my thumb back to full health. I have to keep it covered at work because it is so dirty there. As soon as I come home, the band-aide and gloves come off. I left it uncovered last night and woke up to a nice scab. Of course that didn't last because as soon as I hoped in the shower it was gone. Either way, it has scabbed up again and it is drying out so, so far, so good.

I have decided that I am going to try to cycle next round. I will start P2 on January 3rd, loading on the 1st and 2nd. Then after the 40 days, I will go to P3 for 3 weeks and jump back into P2 after that. No P4 for the next round. Hopefully everything goes well. I am willing to take whatever comes to it. Plus this gives me plenty of time to research it and change my mind before the round comes.

I also realized today how much I miss playing soccer. I was running around the ramp today. We had 2 flights on the ground at the same time, so I am running in between gates. It's so nice to not be heaving and gasping for air anymore. I haven't been this small in a long time. I don't even think I was this small when I played soccer. Even so, it FEELS GOOOOOD!!! I can't wait for the weather to warm up so that I can get into an adult league. A group of us used to play once a week but now since the weather has cooled, we don't do it anymore. Anyway, that's all for today. Just thought I would share this with you. Happy Releasing/Maintaining. Now to check up on everyone.

Knives are EVIL!!! Oh yes they are!!!

BEWARE... THIS MAY GROSS YOU OUT. Last night I was making myself some hot and sour soup. The recipe calls for sliced or diced cabbage. Now, I would like to think that, for the most part, I am a somewhat skilled cook. I have always been able to throw things together and make something delicious. I also LOVE LOVE to cook. So, for the most part I always remember when I am slicing, dicing, chopping, whatever, to tuck my fingers in. Well, I have this problem with my thumb. I tuck all of my fingers in except for my thumb. Well, as I was chopping up my cabbage last night, sure enough, my thumb decided to get a mind of it's own. I sliced the tip of it off like it was part of the cabbage. Immediately, I put pressure on it, grabbed the skin, and ran downstairs. I calmly said to the bf that I sliced the tip off. Of course he wanted to see it. Well, I didn't want to take my finger off because I knew as soon as I did that it would start gushing. So I showed him the piece that was no longer attached. It was definitely a good chunk. I went into the bathroom and immediately put it under some water. Of course, it started gushing before I made it to the faucet. Anyway, my bf kept asking if I needed to go to the hospital. Interested to know my reply??? I said, "No, we can't go to the hospital because we will sit there for hours and we are supposed to go see Harry Potter tonight!" So that's what we did. We bandaged my thumb with gauze and everything else, went to see Harry Potter, then stopped to get some skin shield and band-aids on the way home. Today my thumb is a lot better. No more bleeding. It doesn't hurt at all actually. I just kind of have to laugh at how it happened. The moral of the story? Tuck in those thumbs AND skip the hospital visit if you are planning on seeing Harry Potter that night. It was well worth it.

Oh, but I decided that if it doesn't look like it is starting to heal tomorrow, I will go to the doctor. A couple of people have said that I may need a skin graph. We will see.

P3 Update

Hey everyone! Did you all have a nice Black Friday/Thanksgiving weekend/Cyber Monday?! I have yet to buy one thing. I am not really a fan of picking up stuff online for the holidays. I would much rather go to the store and purchase everything. Idk, it just takes the fun out of it. I know some people who buy EVERYTHING online. I know it is mostly out of sheer convenience though. I get the next to impossible stuff to find on line.

Anywho. I gained over Thanksgiving. I don't think I mentioned that in the last blog. Maybe?! What can I say... Birthday/Thanksgiving... Lots of deep fried turkey and alcohol plus the usual fixings. Being that I was drinking, I expected it to be much worse but I only gained 3.3lbs. I have lost all but .4lbs of it. I did a steak day on Friday and then an egg day yesterday. Either way, I enjoyed myself. For the first time, I actually didn't overeat during Thanksgiving. I had one small helping over everything except the turkey. The BF was so excited about deep frying it and it definitely was worth it. Him and my roommates bf stood watch over the thing. It was actually pretty hilarious because they wouldn't leave it alone. For a good hour and a half they stood there just staring at it like it was going to hop out of the fryer and run away. I think we have a picture somewhere. I will post if we do.

Other then that, things are getting back to normal. BF got a job for the holidays, which is a relief. It isn't much but the pay is decent and we will at least be able to celebrate Christmas and get a REAL tree. My roommate was adament on putting her fake one up. She has never had a real tree and I just can't deal with a fake tree. I need to be able to smell the pine! LOL Either way, we are getting a real tree. The neighbors, down the street, already have their decorations up. Picture to follow blog posting. I told my roommate we need to go out and get stuff. Let's make the decorations gawdy. LOL I want to go overboard this year! I am excited for it. It has been a looong time since I have lived in a house that can be decorated. For the past 5 years, I have lived in apartments. I am definitely excited. I need to seriously start shopping though. Oh, speaking of. Someone stole my cc number. I am really irked about that because I haven't had access to my bank account since last week. Being that it was a holiday and the mail wasn't running, I have had to wait to receive a new bank card. I am thankful that my bank found the fraud before they tried to charge a HUGE amount to my card. I have to order a new one for my other bank as well, just to be on the safe side.

One other thing... Has anyone tried cycling while on protocol??? Someone else blogged about it and I was wondering if anyone has actually done it and been successful. My concern is the stabilization issues that may come along with it. Either way, I will be starting R3 Jan 1st. I am going to the Giants vs Redskins football game on the 2nd and figure it would be a perfect day to load since we will be tailgating like crazy. The rivalry will be on. My roommate is a Redskins fan and I am a Giants fan. I just hope she doesn't leave me at the stadium after the Redskins lose!!! =0D Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Happy stabilizing/releasing. Be back tomorrow!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

I know I am a day late but better late then never. Yesterday was fabulous! It was also my birthday. Yes I am a turkey baby. I was born at 3:43am on Thanksgiving day 28 years ago. They say that 30 is a milestone but every year is a milestone for me, simply because I almost didn't make it to today. Anyway, I am alive and kickin' and so thankful for everyone that is apart of my life. I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that everyone enjoyed the time they had with their families. Now it is time to go back to work and take care of everyone that is traveling home after the holidays! I wish you all well and will catch up with everyone later today! Happy Friday! Happy releasing/stabilizing!

Week wrap-up - Jalapeño Poppers recipe

This last week has been nuts. Here is a run down...
Thursday - Last day of P2 LIW 210.1 for a total loss of 77.1lb after 2 rounds
Monday - Redskins football game/tailgate. They got their butts handed to them on a silver platter. Glad I'm not a fan. We left at half time because it was 30something-7 and it was raining.
Tuesday - Root canal and hair appointment. The root canal wasn't as bad as people make it seem. I also had 2 fillings done. Left the dentist $1500 poorer. Still got my hair done and the bf took me shopping where I picked up a pair of booties and hat for a total of $40. Wahoo, I love shopping the clearance rack.
Thursday - Supervisor interview in Boston. I think/hope I nailed it. I have this horrible tendency of getting extremely nervous. I was good until about 30 min before I was suppose to go in. The nervousness subsided after about 15 minutes.
Today is Friday which also means payday!!! Gotta love it. With all the commotion going on I forgot about my godsons birthday. I really am horrible with dates. I got him this pretty awesome gift though. I'll tell you guys what it is after they get it bc I know Sarah reads this and I want it to be a surprise. Did you read that Sarah??? I'm not telling!!! Lol TOM showed up on Tuesday. Glad I stopped R2 when I did. Anyway, I won't hear back about the position until after thanksgiving. Or so they said. Keep your fingers crossed. It isn't Vegas but Richmond is a more doable move.
So that's been my crazy life. Here is the P3 Jalapeno Popper recipe for you all.
12-16 jalapenos, halved and deseeded
8oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup shredded cheese (eyeball it)
1-2 jalapenos minced
2 green onions diced
1 minced chipotle pepper
Preheat oven to 375. Mix all ingredients together and spoon into empty jalapeno shells. Arrange on non stick cookie sheet or grease one w oil. I used Pam. Place on top rack of oven for ~15 minutes. Just watch them. You want the cheese to brown but not burn. If you want them to be less spicy, forgo the chipotle and limit how much of the minced jalapeno you mix in.
Let me know how you all like them! Enjoy! =o)

Cookware.com/CSN

Ok this is completely off topic right now but I got an email from Cookware.com/CSN. They were asking if I would be interested in doing a giveaway on my blog. Well, I deleted the email, first off. So if the person that sent the email is reading, please resend. Also, has anyone ever bought anything from them??? They have a lot of awesome stuff. Personally, I have not used them but anyway. So maybe I will be having a contest coming up. We will see. I can't recover the email, and I probably won't hear back from them. ::sigh::

Stress. Almost 70lbs gone!!! Heart to heart

My stress level right now is through the roof. Things are rocky at home but I had a heart to heart with my mom this morning. It definitely helped put things into perspective. I know what I need to do to help alleviate my frustrations. It will be hard but I have dealt with worse.
On another note, I am 1.5lbs away from a 70lb loss total. I can't believe it. I am still hoping to get down to Onederland by the end of the month but will not stress about it. I don't have a problem going an extra few days to reach this milestone. The 21st will be my LID. This way I will be in P3 for my birthday. Jalapeño poppers here I come!!! Lol. I was looking for the shiratako noodles, the ones that miracle noodles are made out of, at Trader Joes but no luck. I will try whole foods or wegmans next time I go shopping.
On another note... I finally shared the protocol with my mom. You all remember how worried and stressed I was about that. I know that she is unhappy with her weight too. I sent her pics that were taken this morning and she asked for me to let her know what I am doing. I FINALLY came clean. I gave her the information on the Simeons Protocol. I told her to read P&I and if it is something she is interested in, I will help her get started and get through it. I feel it is the least that I can do since she birthed me and all. I know how she feels with her weight. I was there too. I think that she should be able to look in the mirror and love what is looking back at her. We have all been there. We know how it feels to be disgusted with ourselves. Some of us have reached our goals, some are still working their butts off to get there. We all have hit major highs and major lows but we persevere. Now it's your turn mom. I will be the last to judge or persecute. I think that this protocol is the best thing to happen to me. If it weren't for my best friend Sarah, I would still be pushing 300lbs and completely miserable. So thank you Sarah. I couldn't ask for a better friend. You are a sister to me. And again, to my readers, especially those of you who are actively reading my posts and sharing advice, whether I take it or not... I APPRECIATE YOU!

Holiday Interruptions and P2

So I have made a decision about this round. I have enough HCG for 2 more rounds. I have decided that I will do a planned interruption for Thanksgiving, being that it is my birthday that day and also because I have some friends flying into Boston on the 22nd that I haven't seen in about 10 years. Facebook can be a wonderful thing. I use to babysit these girls when I was in jr high and high school. They were my neighbors. Their whole family is flying to Boston for the holiday week. I will have a week interruption then continue with protocol the following weekend. I was debating on having another interruption for Christmas but I will most likely be working and it isn't really an important holiday for me. Christmas/New Years week is still an option but I have yet to decide. Idk if having 2 interruptions so close together will be affective. So that is up in the air. Once I come back from the interruption, I will mix a new batch and see how long I can go before I just throw in the towel with this round. I wanted to get your alls opinion if you think this is a good decision or if I should just end the round on the 18th? Any advice will be greatly appreciated as I don't really know what is/is not allowed on an interruption. I really want to be able to eat green bean casserole, Mac-n-Cheese, and turkey. I can do without the potatoes and stuffing. Anyway, hope to hear your opinions! Thanks everyone.

Prawn Soup

Ok here is what I had tonight. I love love love prawns.
100g prawns, with the shells should weigh out to about 120g
4-5 green onions, chopped
1 1/2 c water, give or take
Salt & pepper
1/8 tsp oregano, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, basil
I added a little more of the seasonings bc I love flavor. Bring all ingredients except prawns to a boil. Add prawns then turn down to low for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove prawns, de-shell and chop then add then back into soup mixture and you're ready to go.Next time I will add a diced jalapeño and maybe some tabasco but still so good.

UGH Grissini!!!

So I am up today and I figured out the culprit. Well, I think I did. I have 2 different kinds of grissini. One is a really fat, filling brand. The other are called thin grissini. I used the thin grissini through out my first round with no problem. I found this other stuff at Safeway and thought that I would give it a try. Yeah well bad decision. I haven't really been eating anything different this round, except the grissini and I have been chowing down on some Tilapia. I am cutting both and going back to my thin grissini. I bought some prawns last night. We threw some on the bbq last night. They were delish. Anyway, I am gonna get going. I am tired and need to get some sleep. I will have to revisit my goal for this round. I don't think that 190 will be happening. Keep your fingers crossed for a loss tomorrow. Definitely discouraged right now.

Happy Monday!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween!!! And that everyone was able to resist giving in to their sweet tooth. It was hard but I made it through the day. I was working, 62 hours in 4 days and most of it was OT!!! Get money! Lol
Things are going well. I have passed the halfway point. I am so excited about that. I have also been debating on whether I should make this round a little bit longer or finish up a few days before Thanksgiving. If I don't stop by Thanksgiving, then I won't be able to start my next round in January. I think that it will be extremely hard to stay on protocol during the holidays. I will most likely end this round on the 21st, that way I will be able to actually enjoy my birthday. I have been craving Mac n Cheese like crazy. My roommate puts her homegrown roasted peppers in it. Seriously, it is to die for! Now of I could only find a pasta substitute for the noodles. If anyone knows, let me know. I really just want the cheese and peppers though. Lol. Oh and my one request for the menu on Turkey Day... Jalapeño Poppers sans the breading. Random right?! I know I'm not preggers but I am really wondering where these random cravings are coming from. Well gotta get the work day started. Excited for my day off tomorrow! I'll finish checking up on everyone in a bit. Happy releasing!!!!

Changes

I took my measurements the other day. I need to find my original ones from when I first started so I can compare. I think that I know where they are but I just don't feel like digging through boxes. When I was taking my measurements though, I was thinking to myself... I know I am losing both weight and inches. That is apparent. Most of it is coming off in my stomach area. I have lost it in my boobs as well. I just wish that it would be substantial enough to see in my thighs and calves. I know that I probably won't lose much from my legs. For the most part, they have A LOT of muscle from all of the soccer and water polo among other things. Hopefully I will start dropping more inches from them because it is definitely hard to get pants when the waist is smaller and my thighs just won't fit. Anyway, that is my rant for now. I am extremely tired. I slept for like 10 hours last night but I definitely actually sleep bc it was so damn hot in the house. We had the window open but it wasn't until I opened the door that the air started circulating and you could actually feel the breeze. HH, I feel your pain with the snow. I am definitely looking forward to cooler weather but I am not looking forward to the snow.

Oh on another note... My bf heard back from one of the employers today. I guess they want him back for a follow up interview. I heard back from Vegas today. The position has not been filled and I should know by next week if I will be getting an interview. I also applied for a position in Richmond that is open. I would much rather go to Vegas, since my family is all on the west coast but I will be greatful if I am offered either of the positions. Off to check on everyone, finish watching the baseball game, and hit the sack. Happy Releasing

INTERNET!!!

FINALLY!!! I have my computer out of the bag. The guy from Verizon just left. I am soo happy to have Fios. My other roommate and I had to talk our 3rd roomie into changing from Dish to Fios. Her TV kept going out last winter and I told her that if we get Fios it will be cheaper and plus we will have TV all winter. It wasn't too hard. She just wants to be able to watch her football.

Ok so real quick... Down another .9lbs. Very excited about that. My BMI has dropped significantly since I started. I am no longer classified as extremely obese. Definitely excited about that. I am almost at the halfway point. It would be awesome if I got there tomorrow but I'm not pushing it. Anyway, I have to run over to Target to pick up my RX then it's off to the soccer field to hang out with some friends from work. Happy Releasing!

One more day of TOM

TOM is on the way out!!! FINALLY. Lol I had a nice loss yesterday morning of about 2lbs. Then today another .7lbs. I have exactly one month until my birthday and about 38lbs to go. No worries though. Things have been the same as usual. Busy. I still haven't heard from Vegas about the job but I sent the GM an email this morning so hopefully I will get some sort of response. My friend, who helped me get hired in the first place and who also used to work with the GM in Vegas, is going to write me a letter of recommendation so hopefully that helps as well. My bf had 4 or 5 job interviews today. I can't remember how many. They are all at least an hour from where we live now. I really don't want to move out of the area and have a long commute. I did that in Cali and don't feel like doing it again. Either way, hopefully he will be offered a job here that pays more then 60k or that we can move to Vegas. I may just transfer there anyway. He can work at the power plant and I will keep my same pay plus it is a lot cheaper to live there then here. We will see.
This round has gotten easier. It was really hard the first couple of weeks and I was really struggling. I have made sure that I am getting all of my water too. Last round, I definitely did not keep track as much as I am not and can feel the difference. Well, time to get started on dinner. Hope everyone is well!!! Happy releasing.

I can't even remember what day I am on. R2P2D21?

So I don't really have much to update. I mean I probably will by the time I am done with this. Let's see. Where to start. The bf still doesn't have a job. It is really starting to put a strain on things. We are staying with my friend right now. He finally got approved for unemployment which a relief financially. I applied for a job in Vegas. Keep your fingers crossed that I get an interview please. I could really use the promotion. Plus I feel I'm ready for the next level at work. It would mean moving but I'd rather be on the west coast and my bfs uncle lives there so he would be able to get a job with him.
Now onto how this round is going. Let me tell you. This round has been tough. I lost a lot in the beginning and now things are slowing down. I have had a lot of hunger too, but it seems to be subsiding. TOM is here and I woke up to a nice gain. I know it will be gone soon so I am ok with that. I am still hoping to reach my mini goal of 190 by my birthday which is on Thanksgiving. We will see how things go. I am not going to stress if I don't make it though. Just have to keep pushing forward. I know I promised recipes for the sauces. I haven't forgotten, just been busy. I will post asap. We are getting Internet next week, gotta love Fios, so I will be updating on a daily basis again. Oh it will be so nice to have Internet again. Wahoo! Lol. Ok off to check on everyone. I hope you all are doing well with your rounds. Happy releasing!!!

Crockpot Chicken

I thought that I had posted this a few months back but I guess it must have slipped my mind. Fairly simple. Here is my Crockpot Chicken recipe.

100g Chicken Breast Tenders
1 to 2 cup vegetable broth
1-2 Tblspn Liquid Aminos
Green onion
Minced garlic
Crushed red pepper
Salt & Pepper

Tobasco (Optional)

Sometimes I add lemon juice instead of liquid aminos. Everytime I make this, it turns out different but this is pretty much the base. I only cook a max of 3 servings at a time. I just cut the chicken differently to know which is my 100g. I will usually keep one serving whole, chop one into bite size pieces, and just cut the other in half. You can't really do more then 3 though. I cook for 1 hour on high and then 7 hours on low. You probably don't have to cook it that long. I just do it bc I am gone for work for 8+ hours. I will usually put it in before I leave.

Oh, I forgot to add... After it is done, I take a fork and shred the chicken up. You may have to add more broth or you can add water to the mix because it will cook down over time. Let me know what variations you all throw on it. I am always up for trying something different!!! Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, so I did have some stuff other then the recipe to post. The bf has officially filed for unemployment. I think he is finally starting to realize why I am asking him to consider enlisting in the reserves. He has put in 10 years, he only has 10 years until he can retire with full benefits. We are young and the way the gov't is now, by the time we are ready to retire, we are going to be screwed. We will have our 401k, possibly not all of it, and whatever we have managed to save on our own. Anyway, he understands what I am trying to say. We can save up and invest, but just the medical in itself will help.
When I was updating my ticker today, I was looking at the number. That starting number was just so horrible! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! When I started the protocol, I told myself that if it really worked, I would never allow myself to see that number again. So far so good. Each day I get further and further away. BUT, today I realized that I am only 8.4lbs away from the half way point of my final goal!!! WOW WOW WOW. I never thought that it was possible. Yeah, every year, I lose in the summer time because it is hot and I am more physical then but every year I gain some of it back. Thanks to the protocol, I can say that this will not happen anymore. I have to thank my followers though. Kathryn and Helderheid have been reading from day 1! Both of you have given me awesome advice and helped me stay focused. Thank you! And to all of my other readers... Lavenderdiva, Darby, thank you for the ongoing support as well. You always have answers for my ongoing questions and wonderments regarding the protocol. Thank you!
Now, off to finish my last 8 hours of work. Hopefully I will have some new updates to read since it is getting later in the day.
First 8 days done!!!
I seriously feel like I have been neglecting everyone for not updating. I have been working a lot more lately due to the fact that the bf still has not found a job. It's like a catch-22, he has all this great experience because of the Navy but he has little experience with civilian jobs. It is really trying my patience because I feel like nothing is getting done in the way of finding a new job. I have snapped at him on more then one occasion to follow up or call the recruiters or apply for jobs himself. I don't know what I am going to have to do to get through to him but I am definitely irritated and frustrated. Our anniversary is coming up on Saturday. We will just leave that at that.
Onto HCG... I have lost all of the weight I gained during loading and then some. I have to attribute that to the awesome releasing after my loading days. Yesterday I only dropped 0.5lbs. I upped my water intake and this morning I was 2lbs lighter. I can't remember the last time I was this close to "onderland." It was probably when I was back in high school, which was almost 10 years ago. Either way, I'll take it. Life has been a roller coaster lately and the only thing that has been a constant downhill slide has been my weight. =0) Other then that, my recipe folder is packed up so I am stuck with chili and chicken salad or soup all of the time. I need to find it so that I can add some variety to my meal life. I am really getting bored with that stuff. Still no internet so I either have to update from work or from my phone. At work, there seems to be little time. We are starting to get busy again. We had a promotion going on last month but that has since ended, so I have no idea why we are so busy. September-October are usually slow season. I can't complain though. I have a steady job and pay check. I see how the bf is bored and frustrated, and I wouldn't have to deal with that.
I better get going. Need to finish up my shift and then I am back here at 0430 tomorrow morning. If anyone has some awesome recipes that you made up while bored, send them my way. I need some spice in my life!!! =0)
Happy Releasing!!!
Ready? Set. Go!!!
Ok, so it's been a while. Here is how things are going. When I started this round, I only planned to load for 2 days. That did not happen. Due to the craziness that we have been dealing with in regards to moving, it was just easier to load for 3 days. Oh boy, and load I did. Lol. Question... Has anyone dropped more then 3lbs on there first day after loading?! I did. I gained 11.8lbs during my loading days. I almost had a heart attack when I checked the scale. When I weighed in this morning for my VLCD day 1, I was down 4.6lbs!!! Someone please tell mr that you have had or seen that kind of loss bc I think it is rather high. I'm not going to dwell on it though. A loss is a loss. Now let's keep up the awesome releasing for the rest of the round. My goal is to get below 200lbs by Thanksgiving, which also happens to be my birthday. I may add an extra week at the end depending on how far away from that goal I am. I can't wait!!! Hope everyone is having a successful round. I will try to catch up later today. I don't have Internet where I am staying. Going to Starbucks would be too tempting. Lol
Countdown to R2
All of my supplies are here! I am so excited. TOM is STILL here. Movers are coming on Monday. My bf is out of his place on the 30th. I am out of my place on the 29th. We still don't have a new place to live. Eek. We will be crashing with my other bestie until we find a place. He has had a total of 5 different interviews with the same company. Initially they interviewed him for 3 different positions then he went back on Thursday for a 2nd interview with 2 of the 3. Hopefully we will be hearing some good news on Monday. He has only been out of the Navy since the 5th but he is starting to get stir crazy. LOL Keep your fingers crossed for him.
Hopefully TOM will be gone tomorrow. I was thinking about just starting on Monday, regardless of whether it is or not. It's harder for me to load when I am working because then I end up spending a ton of money at the resturaunts here at the airport. They are ridiculous in price and in all honesty, the food SUCKS! So yeah, I will most likely start on Monday since the movers will be coming and we can order PIZZA!!! LOL I still miss pizza sometimes. Especially since it is football season. I think I will make a list of everything that I want to load on this time around. Last time I didn't hardly load. I pretty much ate like normal, not realizing that I needed to really stuff myself. Anyway, I still haven't decided on how long of a round I will go. It just all depends on my progress and how I feel. As for now, I am planning for the standard 40 day. I am thinking that doing another 65 days will just be too long. Plus I would like to plan to start R3 on Christmas Day. Holidays are PERFECT for loading!
Hope everyone is well and stabilizing/releasing. I will catch up later this morning.
Waiting games...
Wow... 0.2oz below LIW. I'll take it. TOM is still here. Seriously ridiculous. It has been almost a week. Now I am playing a waiting game. I have my hcg. Bac water should be arriving today. Vials should be here tomorrow along w my syringes. Hopefully! I am ready to get this hcg party started already. I wish everything would just show up today. Oh well. Just have to wait some more.
Thai Vegetable Soup courtesy of Elana's Pantry! The bf loved it!!! We used baby bellos instead of shitake and no cilantro.
I love waking up at 3am...
I did not release anything last night. Maybe it was the lack of sleep I got, or TOM, or maybe my body just simply did not want to lose anything. Either way I am still on track to get back to my LIW. I hated having to get up this morning but I am wearing my "skinny" shirt that I bought after the end of P2. There is a pic posted of it on my last P2 day. I bought it then when I went on vacation and I gained weight, I didn't like the way it looked on me. It was a little too tight in the tummy. Now it is perfectly fine. I am allowing myself to only buy 1 new outfit per round. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on clothes that are only going to fit me for a few months. Once I am done, then I will go on a shopping spree. Plus I want to save up so I can get a completely new wardrobe. I CAN NOT WAIT!!!
Work has been rather slow today. We will be super busy in the afternoon. I received a confirmation email that my bacteriostatic water was shipped... It will be leaving the west coast tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed for everything else to be shipped tomorrow or Tuesday as well. Better jet. I am started to get really sleepy so I need to get moving. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.
Real quick...
Just wanted to post real quick. I have an early morning shift tomorrow and we had delays tonight so I really should be getting to sleep. I am only 0.6lbs away from LIW. TOM is here and will be full force tomorrow. I can feel it. I will hopefully be starting my next round this weekend, as planned. I am just waiting on the rest of my supplies to get here. I purchased everything I will need for the next 3 rounds, so I won't have to buy anything. I definitely will have extra, so I will probably end up selling it. I'll let you guys know, so if anyone is interested. Other then that, nothing too interesting going on. The bf had 3 interviews in one day. One of the interviewers wanted to offer him a job on the spot. We are just both concerned with the base pay. It is super expensive to live in the DC Metro area and there base pay just isn't going to cut it. Especially if we are going to be spending 1500+ for a rental. It's ridiculous. I tell him we should just buy but he wants to save up for a down payment eventhough VA loans don't require it. Oh well. Guess I will be giving my money away to yet another landlord. The movers are coming a week from Monday. I was so relieved when we found out that they will store everything until March. That gives us time to really find a place that we are going to be comfortable in and not just rush into the first place that we find. Plus, it's not easy finding a place with a garage out here. You would think with all of the snow, but nope. Anyway, time to head off to bed. I will post tomorrow with my AM loss. Hopefully it will be 0.6lbs or more!!!
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
Progress for progress sake
Steak day was a success! I will do another one today. I lost 1.8lbs from the steak day, then woke up today to another .3lbs gone. Less then 4lbs away from my LIW. Wahoo. TOM showed up this morning. Hopefully that won't affect my releasing. I also received my HCG two days ago. I jaw enough for 3 more rounds. Hopefully that is all that I will need. This round I plan on being super strict on myself. Last round I cheated and omitted certain things some times. This time around, no cheating and no omitting. I'm still debating on whether to do an extended round or not, like last time. I will just have to see how it goes.
On another note, my boyfriend has an interview tomorrow with a really good company. AND we won't be moving to Tampa after all which is a huge relief. I hate moving and the whole fact that there hasn't been a job posted since May was really stressing me out. On top of that, there will be a position open in November for supervisors so I will be able to apply for that. Anyway, time to get my day started. Happy releasing everyone.
The first of many correction days...
I got on the scale today and was not surprised that I will be having to complete some correction days. My bf has been at my house since before the fishing trip and we have been going out to eat all of the time. Most of the time I am really good with what I choose to order... No potatoes, no fries, nothing FRIED! The last couple of days I have caved though. We went to a brazilian steakhouse a couple of nights ago... These places are the best. For those of you that have never been to one... they have a yummy self serve salad bar and then the guys come around with freshly cooked meat on skewers. They slice off a piece and you are ready to go. Anyway, so I did really well until dessert. Even then, I have to applaud myself for not eating the whole thing. We split a creme brulee. I know, I know... Of all of the desserts. LOL Anyway, then yesterday we went out for dinner as well. I was going to make yesterday a steak day because we got up late and we didn't end up eating until around 3pm but by the time we got to the resturaunt, I didn't feel like steak anymore. Needless to say, I had shrimp and steamed broccoli. He had a peanut butter chocolate piece of pie. I had 2 bites of it. I definitely miss sweets but at the same time, it has been since June that I have had any. I am not making any excuses for this though. I am just stating the facts. And the fact is, I have a sweet tooth that has almost completely diminished. Snickers and Pepsi were my weakness, especially the Pepsi Throwback. I love that stuff. I still have a case of it, UNOPENED, in my apartment. I don't plan on opening it until I have complete control over this sugar craving, which could be a super long time. By control I mean, making I have to say that after my first round, I am extremely happy that I don't crave desert after every meal or that I don't crave Snickers right before TOM. Speaking of which, TOM should be arriving in a few days. I can feel it. I am starting to get really crampy and cranky. LOL. Oh so back to the food. Since I have definitely not made smart choices this past week, I made a smart choice this morning. I know that before I had said that I would be fine staying at 240lbs. Well 240lbs has come and gone. I will be doing correction days until I get back down to my LIW of 237lbs. I want to start R2 off correctly. I weighed in at 243.1lbs this morning. I was expecting a gain and am surprised it was not more. So I will be doing strict P3 eating with correction days every other day until I am back down. I think I can handle steak every other day. I have found that egg days don't really work for me. I am going to try a chicken day as well. Do I need to cook the check myself or can I just purchase the ones already cook from the grocery store and just snack on that??? Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.
EDIT... I had originally started this post at 8am but got side tracked with work. BEWARE... RANT COMING... I found out some irritating news today regarding the recruiter my bf was working with. They pretty much told him to fuck off and that he can do his job search on his own. See, he signed and agreement to do a 30/30 program with them. 30 day job search, placed within 30 miles of your ideal location. Well, he signed into the agreement on August 19th. They had specific dates of when he would be out of the country so they could have been job searching for him them and he would be available immediately when we came back. FAIL #1 on their part. Then the bf inquired, KEYWORD INQUIRED, about the posibility of changing locations. Ok, he didn't call them right back, however, he told the recruiter he would talk it over with me and get back to him. It was 2 days! So that would have been 2 days on our part, however, he never told him to stop searching for jobs. He just INQUIRED about it. FAIL #2 on their part. Now, FAIL #3 is MAJOR... The recruiter emailed my boyfriend yesterday morning, letting him know that he needed more information for his resume. Now, here is my problem... Yesterday was the 13th of September. They had 6 days until the end of the 30/30 program. My boyfriend, in response, sent an email back to his recruiter asking/stating the following: Why is he just asking for a revision on the resume. The recruiter had it on the 19th. And when would he be going for job interviews??? This part is extremely important. He has been separated since the beginning of September. He just got his last paycheck and the movers need to know where to take the stuff. We can not get an apartment/house until he has income coming in. No one will approve use with just me. I do not make enough money. Also, the movers can only store our stuff for 90 days but we are anxious to start our new life. So, in response, the recruiter told my boyfriend that it WASN'T HIS FAULT that we were out of the country and he couldn't get ahold of him while we were gone, eventhough he gave them an email address to communicate with, and it WASN'T HIS FAULT that my boyfriend changed locations. This never happened. An inquiry is not a decision!!! On top of that, he also wanted to use the excuse that they had an issue last week with a candidate that they had placed, quitting his job. Well, I am sorry about that. I am sorry that the company you placed him with is asking for their money back but THAT is NOT my boyfriends fault. It also doesn't take the entire company to resolve an issue like that. So, to that recruiter... SCREW YOU. The government should NOT be doing business with you, especially with the way that you treat your candidates. 99% of the guys you work with do not know what it is like to work or look for a job in the civilian world because they have given so much of their life to the government and this is how you treat them??? SHAME ON YOU!!!
Getting things done!!!
My HCG cleared customs last night!!! That means I should have it by the end of the week. Probably within a couple of days actually since it is coming from NY and I live in the DC area. I was starting to get worried for a minute there. Anyway just want to update real quick. We finally sent off the paperwork for the movers to come pack up the house. The bf is going back and forth w the recruiters who are suppose to be job searching for him bc their 30 days is almost up and they severely dropped the ball. I don't want to go into detail. What else. Oh a friend of mine is starting HCG. She will be doing a 23 day round. How much water does she need to mix with it? I told her 5mL but that I would check with all of you. She has 5000iu. Let me know. Happy releasing/stabilizing for everyone. We are off to the outlet mall. Oh man, I love shopping!!!
It's been so long...
Ok, so I am sitting here at work, thinking about the fact that I haven't blogged in over a week. This are still crazy. I haven't been working as much but we are moving and packing and more packing even though I am not going to be able to move with the bf. That has added a lot of stress to the situation. Also the fact that I am not working as much leads to less money which is also stressful. I am used to clearing a certain amount every month but since he is still job searching, we are trying to take advantage of the extra time.
Anyway, I have been able to maintain my current weight of 240.8. I got down to my LIW but it seems like regardless of what I eat, I stay at 240.8. I ordered for my next round and was getting anxious when I didn't see any updates with the tracking. Luckily today it update and said that it is in NY customs. Hopefully it will clear and be here within a few days. I was going to start on the 24th but I am ready to start releasing again. Hopefully I can start earlier. Plus, I will start TOM around that time so if I don't get it soon, I will have to wait until October to start R2. Eek. Lol either way, I am super excited. One of the girls at work is going to do the protocol with her husband. Only a short round though bc they have like 20 and 30 lbs to lose. I am excited for them to start as well. Well, I better get going. Hopefully I will be able to post more frequently. I know for sure I will once I start R2. Hope everyone is well. Happy releasing/maintaining to you all!!! I will try to catch up tonight and tomorrow.
HCG Brands???
Hey everyone...
Just a quick post. We are trying to finish packing up my place and make the 3hr drive down to the bfs to stay for the next couple of days. First off, I am up 8.9lbs from LIW. I knew it was gonna be high but I am not stressing about it anymore. I have enough things to stress about plus I am on TOM so it is what it is. I will be doing a steak day tonight and clean P3 eating for the rest of the phase, which ends Friday. I have a questions for all of you though. I am going to order from ADC this time around. I can get the hcg for a really good price, since I will be buying in bulk, plus they have some other RX that I need to buy. My question is, has anyone used Ovidac??? I have no idea what I used this last round. Kathryn, maybe you remember what kind of HCG  she sent you? Anyway, they have the Hucog back in stock but I am just trying to find out if anyone has had success/problems with Ovidac. I figure, hcg is hcg.
I'll be checking back later. The bf has decided that we should leave in the AM bc we have alot more stuff to do around here then I realized.
Finally Home!!!
And oh it feels sooo good! I am definitely getting back into my element. I am dreading tomorrow's weigh in. TOM is here full fledged plus I know I will be up bc of the crap, yes CRAP, that I was eating while on vacation. I did not weigh this morning because we actually took the red eye from the west coast last night. We didn't get home until around noon today. I figured my weigh in wouldn't be as accurate since I had been up for a while.
I have plugged in my start date for R2 which is September 24th. It works out perfectly because my birthday is towards the end of November so if I start that day, then I will be into R2P3 when my birthday comes around. This time though, I am going to stay right on protocol. My goal for the next round will be to get down to the 100s. Within the 2lbs for LIW, that will be less then 40lbs in 43 days. Haha I am already planning it out. I actually find this rather funny. I need to order my supplies soon though. The place that I usually get it from has changed their mailing so they only mail once or twice a week. I was thinking of just buying the HCG from her and getting my supplies elsewhere. It may be cheaper bc if I buy 2 vials for 5000iu then it is $110 plus $5 shipping. If I buy the kit for 2 rounds, it is $180 plus shipping. I know that I can get water and needles for less then $70.
Anyway, vacation was rather interesting. Of course, my mom and I went through our usual mother-daughter arguments. Sometimes I feel like she thinks I am still 12 and can't take care of myself. I know what I am doing. I have made it this far. I don't need to be babied anymore and I finally told her that. I don't understand. I will be 28 in a couple of months, yet every time we go on this trip, it's almost like I am thought to be clueless as to what is going on. This year was disorganized compared to last year as well. Usually we have a fishing schedule, a food schedule, and a dishes schedule. This way, everyone knows when they are fishing (there are 2 shifts), who is responsible for making which meal, and who will be cleaning up after each meal on that particular day. Not this year. Plus there were new people there that didn't do anything. It was ridiculous. Other then that, the trip was pretty fun. I bought a L shirt instead of an XL this year. One of the girls makes them for us all. I can't fit in it yet but oh I will fit in it by November and it will definitely be too big by next August.
Well, I better get going. I need to shower and the bf is still sleeping. We are going to try to move the rest of my stuff down to his house the next couple of days so that we can get the movers taken care of. They will store our stuff for up to a year while we find a place, which is definitely nice. Neither of us plan on it being storage longer then a few months though. I will finish catching up with everyone later tonight!!! Ciao
A few photos from the trip
Finally!!! Back on the west coast after a year. Hanging out over Orange County before landing at Long Beach Airport. Man I love this state!!!
Rise and shine!!! Time to get up and join the rest of the gang for Team Fish!!! Jake was mad he had to stay behind but we brought him some fish for being a good guard cat and watching the house.
Had to make a pit stop at Vancouver airport. Damn you UA!!! Of course, it wasn't just UA's fault that we missed the 2045 ferry to Nanaimo... Damn customs and having to wait for an hour!!! Lol gotta love international travel.
The bfs first salmon, 20lbs!!!
We had an awesome whale show on our first day out. They were maybe only a quarter of a mile away from the boat. One was a gray whale, the other wouldn't surface to show his colors.
The beautiful sunrise over the Broken Islands as we head offshore for some FISH!!!
The bf, fishin' for halibut offshore. He's actually got one on the line.
HALI-BUT!!!
Bamfield and no cell service unless I'm on the water
I AM GOING NUTS!!! I forgot how irritated I was last year on this trip. Ugh. Plus the fishing is rather slow. I have been out 3 times already and no freaking fish!!! WTF?! At least the bf brought in a 20lber on his first day out. He is excited to try and make salmon burgers. We will see. I had a big one on the line this morning but lost it to a damn seal. It was probably between 30-35lbs.
He has also been the only understanding one regarding my selective eating. I feel like I have put on all of the 50 plus more eventhough I know that isn't true. There hasn't been anything for me to eat within p3 guidelines. I was thinking about it last night as I was sulking in the bedroom because of the simple fact that the salad had tons of cheese and caesar dressing on it when I specifically asked if there was going to be anything other then veggies on it. This protocol has really opened my eyes to what people regard as healthy. They are eating comfort food like no other. Lasagna, spaghetti, coleslaw, garlic bread and tons of pie/cobbler. I had to buy some things before we hit the last town. I left the states less then a pound over my LIW. I am going to be so angry if I am up by more then 5. Tomorrow we are going offshore and I will be doing an egg day. I won't know before or after weight bc I was ridiculed for wanting to bring a scale. Ugh. Anyway, tomorrow and I will be somewhere in the middle of the ocean, hopefully getting my fish on. Thank god for my bf being so supportive of my choices. Ciao for now.
Seattle + Gain
Only up .9lbs today. I attribute that to flying all day yesterday, water weight, and the corn tortillas I had at Taco Surf. I couldn't help it. They are about half the size of normal corn tortillas anyway. I am doing a high protein day today. We are heading into downtown Seattle right now to go meet up with one of my moms friends from DC for dinner. Her bday is on Friday and I was planning on getting her a gps but she said that she wants to get a WiiFit when she comes back from vacation so I think that I will get her that. It will save me like $50 anyway. It would be awesome if it was on sale at best buy but I doubt it. I find that the more I visit Seattle, the more I like it but I will never move here. As my mom always says, "live close by, visit often." Well close by does not have to be the same state. Lol. A plane ride is close enough. Anyway, I have had no luck finding a travel scale, and I'm not talking about food scale. I stopped weighing out my food when I got to P3. My mom has a scale but it is big and bulky. If I can't find anything tomorrow, I will just go without. Of course I will weigh tomorrow morning before we head out. Well better run. Almost to the restaurant. Can't wait for grub.
I am debating on telling my mom about the diet. She has always had problems w her thyroid and has gained some weight. I know she tries to eat healthy. Besides, I don't want to get the third degree over my decision to follow the protocol.
Hello Long Beach, CA
Just touched down in Long Beach!!! God how I miss this place. I really do. I wish I could get the bf to move out here. It's like fighting a brick wall though, I will always lose. He is afraid he wouldn't be able to find a job out here. I beg to differ though. Anyway, it's a lost cause. My only hope is that we can buy a vacation house out here somewhere.
So we are grabbing lunch w my friend Chris. I haven't seen him in a year. Actually since the last fishing trip. Wow, I am way overdue. Since I haven't been in a year and I have a 4 hour layover, we are going to head to my favorite mexican food place in the LGB, Taco Surf. It is not p3 friendly but I will adjust whatever I order so that it is. I am just excited for some yummy carne asada.
Anyway, time to head off for an awesome lunch. Hopefully we didn't forget to pack anything. Oh and I think that I should maybe order my supplies for my 2nd round as soon as I come back. I will be heading into p4 so I am definitely ready for r2. Plus my bday is coming in November and I would like to be as close to onederland, as Kathryn calls it, as possible. As of today, I am only 35.7lbs away! Wow, I am actually getting excited for r2!!! Lol. Happy Tuesday everyone!
Yay for football and beer!
I had a beer last night!!! Yes, 1 beer, oh and a shot of Patron. I figure, I have been good for so long and this is my first NFL game so I can allow myself that. I steered clear of hot dog buns and chips, although I did sneak a few when the bf bought some nachos. He knew I would definitely want some so he got a bunch of jalapenos, which I eat like candy, on the side. Instead of eating the whole tray of nachos, I ate practically ever jalapeño slice there was and only had maybe 3 of the actual chips. I had a Miller Light which only has 3.4 carbs in it. Maybe 3.6, I can't remember the exact number. The Bud Light Lime has like 12 carbs. I would have preferred a Yuengling, but ML will do. We grilled hot dogs and steak. I wasn't too hungry so I just had a Nathan's hot dog w mustard. I saved my steak for today bc I thought I may need to do a steak day bc of the alcohol. Plus I had grilled chicken from Chik-fil-a for lunch and idk what the heck they grill their chicken in. So I was prepared, but I got on the scale this morning and was only up 0.1. I am so excited! Yeah it's a gain, but I was really expecting it to be worse. Now I know that I will be fine when I go to Canada. I will just need to bring some breakfast foods bc all they have is cereal and sandwiches for lunch. Oh, and I definitely had like 2 deviled eggs yesterday. I can tell that I don't need much to feel full. I don't each as much as I used to. Normally I could eat the entire tray of deviled eggs, nachos, and then polish off at least 2-3 hotdogs. Not anymore. I am keeping up w my water intake as well bc it is soo bloody humid out here. Ok, well I just wanted to update everyone. I am trying to update as much as possible before I go to Canada bc I won't have any Internet service unless I am actually out on the water. I am debating on bringing my scale or if I should just say screw it and wait till I get back to the states to weigh. I won't really be able to do a correction day while I'm there bc we mainly eat fish every night. Any advice will be gladly accepted regarding the topic at hand! Happy Saturday!!!
Can't wait for P3!!!
Today is my last day of P2. I have been following th VLCD wo injections and I am ready for P3!!! Tomorrow I will be attending my first NFL game ever! I am excited to be able to tailgate! We will be bringing steaks, hot dogs, hamburges, salad and who knows what else. Everyone that is riding with us knows that I am still on a restrictive diet and have been so supportive during my VLCD days. My friend C is so excited that I will be able to actually eat some cheese with her! LOL She is a vegetarian so the only thing we share a love for is alcohol and cheese... HAHA and her AWESOME deviled eggs! OMG they are to die for. I know I still have to stay away from chips and junky stuff but I will be fine! You all have been so encouraging and supportive and I don't want to go back to my old self. I am on the right track and plan to stay that way! I am looking forward to my first day of healthy eating! I am worried about Canada though. My mom knows that I cut sugar and starch. She doesn't know the details of the diet but she knows that I am not eating junk. She did notice my weightloss but said that I must have gained more weight since the last time I saw her because I don't look like I have lost as much as I told her. I was at 43lbs lost when I saw her. I know that I had not gained anything since the last time I saw her because I started protocol only a couple of months after seeing her and my weight had been the same. Anyway, I am not going to dwell on it. My thing with Canada is that she said that I will have a hard time sticking to my diet there. They aren't going to cater to my needs. Well, I don't need anyone to cater to my needs. I have 2 hands and I am capable of cooking my own food. I know what I can and can not eat. I will bring my own dressing. In fact, I have found a recipe for ranch dressing that uses cottage cheese instead of buttermilk and mayo. I am excited to try that out. I have missed ranch dressing during P2.
I have pretty much become pro at eating out. My bf is not a "cook at home" type of guy. He doesn't keep groceries in the house so it is hard for me sometimes. We always end up going out for at least one meal. The only place that I have found to have a some what proportionate piece of meat is Texas Roadhouse. They have a sirloin that is 6oz precooked. I make sure they don't season it and just slice it in half when I get it. I have never had any problems with it coming out with fat on it. I think that it is trimmed before hand. Anyway, that plus a house salad, no cheese, no croutons w/ vinegar and s&p and I am set.
OH YEAH, I am finally going to post my crock pot chicken!!! Sorry for making everyone wait so long. I will put a separate post of for it. I also made lettuce wrap tacos! Those were so yummy. I know you aren't suppose to mix veggies but is tomato seriously a veggie or a fruit?! I would add tomatoes with the taco wraps and did not have any issues. I will post that recipe as well!
Question... Anyone used the skinny drops to help stabilize on P3??? I was looking into purchasing them for my trip to Canada. IDK if I will get them in time though. Let me know what you all think. Now, time to finish checking up on everyone! Happy stabilizing and losses!!!
Short one... Down to 241.3lbs
Can't wait until Friday. No more VLCD until next round. No more injections after Tuesday. Wahoo.
Things are pretty stressful right now. Moving, Canada, moving, Canada. As we get closer to the date, things get more and more crazy! I just want to be on vacation and not have to worry about moving. As it is, we still haven't found a place to live. And the bf has to be out of his place when we come back from Canada.
On a positive not though, we did go suit shopping for him. I talked him into buying a lavender shirt and purple tie. Of course the original tie that I picked out to go with the shirt was $50. LOL I just went and grabbed it. The second one I picked was $30 so it ended up alright. It was buy one get one 50% off anyway.
I got a sweet Kenneth Cole purse for $39, originally $149. I also got 2 Calvin Klein pillows originally $55 for $10. Yes, I am very thrifty and a bargain shopper. LOL Ok, time for bed. Need to get up for work super early. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I'll check up on everyone tomorrow!!! Night!
6 days left!!!
Yep, that's right... I have 6 more injection days for P2. Finally it is coming to an end. I had a decent loss this morning. I have been trying to at least update my weight changes every day but sometimes I just don't have time. I wish there was was an iPod app for Blogger but there is nothing official. Anyway, so 6 days left. Wow. I can't believe I will be done with P2. I was starting to think that it would never end. It has been a good round though. I've had some minor setbacks but nothing I am losing sleep over. Next time, I will be doing a regular 40 day round.
My mom is in town. The bf and I will be taking her to dinner tomorrow. I haven't seen her since the beginning of the year? Maybe longer then that. I can't remember. She will definitely be surprised to see me. I also have an eye appointment tomorrow morning. Finally getting new contacts. When my rx runs out, I just get lazy and don't go to get my eyes re-examined. I have been wearing my glasses for at least 8 months now. I need my sunglasses back! Lol. Canadian Vacation is almost upon us.
Oh... And it's official. WE ARE MOVING TO TAMPA!!! Where at in Tampa? I couldn't answer that question. It seems as though the bf is not happy with any of the places that we looked at. We don't have time to go back for another trip. He may just have to get something temporarily down there and then look at places and pick one. I am not picky. I just want a decent kitchen. LOL HH, Please let me know what you find out about a Realtor down there.
Time to get some sleep. I have been working nonstop for the last 3 days. Time to relax and catch up with everyone!
It's too HOT!!!
I had to say goodbye to the bf this morning. He has to be home because his brand new washer was recalled and someone has to come out and fix it. There is only one thing wrong with it but he has to follow the steps regarding the recall before he can get the actual problem fix. LAME. Anyway, so I don't know what's going on but I got up this morning, weighed, and got ready as normal. Then all of a sudden I started to get light headed and I have been sweating like crazy, feeling like I am going to pass out. I have already had a huge glass of water and I am still super hot. I feel like I am getting hot flashes. Definitely not pregnant or going through menopause so I have no idea what is going on.
Decent loss this morning, 0.5lbs. Ten more injection days to go. Counting down!!! Wahoo. This really has been a long round but even if I stopped today, I would be so excited for my current loss. I don't really have to go and buy new clothes yet. I have some jeans that were given to me by a friend who lost a lot of weight as well, just not this way. My shirts are still good too because my boobs are definitely not shrinking. Well, not that I can tell anyway. In time, in time. I will have to get my work clothes altered though. I still have all of my allowance for uniform replacements so I will alter what I can, then order the staple pieces. Anyway, I am going to go check on everyone and get some food before work. Maybe pack a little bit. Happy FRIDAY!
Yay!!! Love my days off.
Figure now would be a perfect time to blog since the bf is taking a nap. LOL
Ok, so some of you have asked for the chicken crock-pot recipe I made up. I will get it posted ASAP. Also, about the eco-friendly tires... They are more fuel efficient, give off low CO2 emissions and are made from recycled rubber... Not completely, but partially. I just got them put on this morning. They definitely ride smooth and are super quiet which was one of the reason I got them. One less thing that I have to stress about and I have to thank the awesome bf for getting them for me! He is so wonderful.
Now onto my day. I had a 0.6 loss this morning. Pretty good. Today should be my last day of TOM. 14 more days until I finish R1P2, this includes the final 3 VLCD days. Each day I look forward to R3/R4 even more. It will be nice to actually be able to up my calorie intake. Of course, now that my body is use to the VLCD, I am worried about consuming more. I am still looking for P3 recipes. I know that alot of the things I have, I can just make minor adjustments. I can't wait for taco wraps with tomatoes and some cheese. LOL I make it work now. Just taco meat wrapped in cabbage with some tobasco. They are pretty good actually.
Some of you may ask, why such a long round? P&I says to go no longer then the 40 or whatever it is. Well, this is more so an experiment. I just want to see how long I can go without growing immune. As I have stated in other blogs that I will be going to Canada during P3 and then be moving during P4. Had I stopped before, I would still have HCG left over. Extending my round will allow me to go on vacation and then move without wasting money (unused hcg). I know you can freeze it for a few months but since I will be moving to a different state and we will be driving down the Florida, I was worried the HCG would go bad. It's over 15hrs from here and we won't be stopping at a hotel until we get there. Hence the 65 days of injections. Once I am done, I think I said before it would be a 65 day round but it will actually be 68 since I have the 3 days of VLCD following my last injection.
I have realized that I am definitely not consuming enough water and I can feel it. I need to drink more. In fact, I am going to get some right now and then go check on everyone! Happy Thursday.
TOM be GONE
I started my injections back up this morning. I did not lose an ounce of weight either. I dread TOM every month. I should only have 2 days left and then I will be good. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a drop tomorrow since I did start back on the dosing today. If not, I am still good with that. As long as the scale is not going up! I counted this moring and I have 13 days left of injections. That means I will be doing a 65 day round of P2. CRAZY!!! I NEVER planned to go this long. I was just going to do the 43 days and be done with it, but I don't want to waste anymore HCG. So I will stick with it for another 15 days.
The countdown to our Canada fishing trip has started. I have less then a month to go and I am soo soo excited! Last year was my first year going with the fam and I have been looking forward to this years trip before last years even ended. LOL I am determined to, once again, catch the "big one." The bf can just help reel him in. Haha. Anyway, I am sitting at work. Just got done eating my ground chicken patty. I should be getting back but we only have 1 flight left and I am totally bored! Has anyone had the ground chicken??? I bought some the last time I went to the grocery store bc I just love burgers. It could be a turkey burger, which are yummy, a steak burger or just a regular ground beef burger. I definitely love them. So I thought, well, lets try a chicken burger. You can get the ground chicken at the grocery store. Why not?! OMG, chicken is sooo sticky. My hands were covered. It was gross. Aside from that, the chicken is really dry. IDK how I am going to fix it, so not sure if I will make these again. I am definitely still loving my chicken crock pot soup. I alternate it with the chili, every other day. And honestly, I just throw stuff in there, but it is still yummy and filling!
Well, I better get going. I checked up on a few people but I will check more when I get another break. Tomorrow I get my ecofriendly tires installed on my car!!! I am sooo happy about that. Reducing my carbon footprint one step, errr mile, at a time. Everyone have a good Tuesday!
Dreading the SCALE!!!
I was definitely dreading the scale this morning. I had to sike myself up just to get on it. It was that bad. Of course, it didn't help that I was half asleep. LOL. This trip has reassured me that even when I am away from home, and I can't necessarily control every aspect of my eating, I can still control most of it. Now, I want everyone to understand that I was expecting either to be the same or a slight gain after vacation. I was not expecting a loss at all. When I get stressed, and let me tell you, right now my stress level is through the roof, I eat. Emotional eater? Yes, I WAS. With the protocol, I have been able to take control of that. I still have to hold myself back from my usual Snickers and Pepsi right before I start menstrating, but other then that, it hasn't been the huge struggle I thought it would be. Sure, it is hard. You are completely changing and getting rid of all of the bad habits picked up along the way, but ohh, is it worth it. So now the scale results....... 247.6!!!!! Well on my way to accomplishing my 2nd and final mini goal for P2. I was so surprised for the 5.1lbs loss. You CAN be successful while you are on vacation.
It's all about portion control as well. That was a big issue for me. I don't know when my portions became so large, but I would have to say it was after high school. That is also when I started to pack on the extra weight. I still weigh out my meat but I am almost to the point where I can tell if I am at 100g just by looking at the portion. It makes things easier. We definitely ate out while we were in Florida. I stuck to grilled chicken and shrimp on salad, topped with vinegar only. I did have diet Pepsi twice. Ugh, it won't happen again. I can not stand the taste. I also packed a cooler when we went to Orlando and Tampa. All in all, it wasn't that difficult and for the most part, I wasn't tempted to cheat. I was even able to get the bf to chow down on some HCG chili that I made the first day, which he loved.
TOM has been especially cruel this month. I have not dosed since starting, on Friday, but I am hoping that it will lighten up so that I can start again by Wednesday. So far, the only difference between last month and this month is that TOM did not disappear for a couple of days then come back full force. Remember, I dosed during TOM last month. Everything else is the same. Anyway, time for me to finish up here and check on everyone. It has been almost two weeks since I have been able to actually catch up on how everyone is doing. Hope everyone is having a great Monday so far!!!
Heading home to DC.
Well it's already that time. I am sitting on a plane heading to Boston from Jacksonville. I will touch down in Boston then head home to DC. The only difference is that I am short my other half. We were suppose to leave tomorrow but unfortunately, something happened with work so I have to be home tonight. I told Tony to stay as long as he wanted and to just let me know when he wanted to come home so we can get the ticket changed. I figure that since he hasn't seen the family in 6 months, then a couple extra days won't hurt. Besides, I get the truck while he is gone. Hehe.
I haven't weighed myself the whole time we have been gone. I was definitely stressing at first but not anymore. There was only one time that I strayed but other than that, I have been good. I know part of it is because TOM showed up and the other part is because I am just over being on P2. I have less then 2 weeks left of injections and let me tell you, I can not wait for it to end. Idk how people go longer then 60 days, let alone the standard 43. At the same time, since I have been so busy with moving and work, these last 12 days or so will be perfect for me to get together plenty of P3 recipes. Send me your favorite recipes!!! I am still trying to figure out a good buffalo sauce recipe w/o sugar so I can have that. It's been torture. Lol I can only substitute with Tobasco sauce for so long.
Well, I guess I will get back to watching House. I am so thankful for airplanes w/ personal tvs. Hehe.
Thank you Kathryn for nominating me for the "Versatile Blogger Award!" and thanks to everyone that keeps coming back to read more and more of my HCG journey!
About to touch down in Jacksonville!
I am writing this on the plane right now. We are about to touch down in Jacksonville. I am so excited. My bf started his military separation on Friday. I know he is excited to finally be down. I found out that one of his friends started the protocol on Thursday. Needless to say we were texting throughout the day about what is allowed and things I can't live without to get me through. I am really kicking myself though. I brought my grissini and my Truvia, plus I was able to bring my injections through to the gate side yesterday. I was worried about how I was going to get them through security since there is no prescription. Anyway, they made it. I meant to put them in the freezer before I left to go home last night but we weren't planning on leaving until Sunday. The loads were way to heavy, as Sundays usually are, so we didn't want to chance it. Anyway, so I'm kicking myself because not only did I leave the tray part of my digital scale at my boyfriends but I forgot to put my backup scale in the suitcase. I am hoping his mom has one, otherwise we will have to go to Target and get a cheapo. Anyway, I am down to 252.7 lbs as of this morning. I am so excited. Almost to my mini goal and I still have 19 days to go. I know that we are going out to dinner at least once with his parents. Salad menu, here I come. Lol We are about to land, so I better get going. How ironic... Airplanes by B.O.B. is on VH1 right now. I'll try to update as much as possible while we are here! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!
